Dr Mike Short CBE, Chief Scientific Advisor to the UK’s Department of International Trade meets long-standing friend, Mobilium CEO, Ralph Simon
After 30 years in telecommunications with Telefonica, Dr Mike Short joined the Department for International Trade (DIT) as the department’s first Chief Scientific Adviser in December 2017. Mike leads the science & engineering profession in the Department & ensures it’s policy is informed by the best science, engineering & technical advice. He advises the D.I.T. on the technical aspects of international trade deals, supports inward investment & engineering collaboration & works with the UK’s research, innovation & academic communities to boost scientific & engineering exports for the British government.
