American author, entrepreneur, & former music critic, Yancey co-founded Kickstarter, the revolutionary funding platform for creative projects, that changed the way entrepreneurs around the world found funding for their global projects. In 2019, he wrote This Could Be Our Future, a 2019 Penguin Random House book about building a society that looks beyond profit as its core organising principle. The book also describes a decision-making framework that Yancey invented, called Bentoism. Yancey changed the very concept of investing with what he did and created with Kickstarter.
