Former Romanian Prime Minister (’08-’12) & current mayor of Cluj-Napoca, Emil Boc, flanked by Mobilium Global chief executive, Ralph Simon (l) & the great Israeli entrepreneur, investor & innovator “Yossi” Vardi (r). All three were keynote speakers at ’Techsylvania’, Romania’s major annual tech & ideas festival in Transylvania’s heartland, organised by the great Vlad Ciurca. Simon & Vardi captivated the audience with a great session discussing what makes great innovation creativity, Yossi’s invention of ICQ/ mobile instant messaging & his 30+ successful exits, & speaking to the audience in Romanian ‘slanguage’. Dracula was not in attendance. He only starts work around midnight. Cluj is one of the most important academic, cultural, industrial and business centres in Romania.
