Ralph Simon is acknowledged as one of the founders of the modern mobile entertainment & content industry. Over the last 17 years, he has been a prominent global mobile trailblazer and innovator, helping grow the mobile entertainment, health and content industry while playing a central role in its impact and presence. Today, mobile is a key platform to reach the over seven billion mobile subscribers worldwide. He is a distinguished mobile visionary & innovator, and popularly known as “the father of the ring tone”. His unique understanding of what drives world-wide mobile business models, smartphone lifestyles, multi-screen creativity and the latest mobile app development & innovation is internationally recognised.  He co-founded and grew Zomba / Jive Records into  a major global label and publisher, and then grew the world’s first international commercial ring tone service.  One of the world’s top 50 executives in mobile since 2005.  He is respected as a provocative moderator and interviewer, he is a sought-after high level entrepreneur advisor, always knowledgeable about what’s coming next in mobile.  He is relentlessly searching for the hottest new social media apps, platforms, and global innovation, he knows just how to reach the world’s “Screenagers“. Harris Blass –  COO, Mobilium Global 

Harris Blass is Mobilium’s Chief Operating Officer and also heads up the company’s Pan-Africa operations. HB Headshot

Harris is acknowledged as one of the top mobile and digital content specialists in Africa. Over the last 15 years, he has established himself as a leading innovator, executive and business strategist in the mobile telecommunications, mobile content and new media industries in Africa.

After a number of years as an executive in the music and recording industry in South Africa, Harris co-founded and established what was to become the preeminent African digital content and new media company, Content Connect Africa (CCA). The company quickly became the principal mobile content aggregator and content provider of on-portal and off-portal localised content to mobile operators and third-party clients in Africa. In addition the company established itself as the South African mobile industry’s primary creator and provider of multiple mobile delivery protocols. The company was acquired by JSE listed Blue Label Telecoms.

 In 2011, Harris co-founded 1D-Net in Johannesburg, a company that develops a range of new media ready products and digital content services solutions using state of the art cloud based telecommunications software applications and network grade hardware components.

 Harris has extensive experience in supply chain management and 4th party logistics. He was the CEO of DNA Global Industries, a joint venture company with DNA Supply Chains (a JSE listed company) that provided integrated supply chain solutions to many of Africa’s blue chip and multinational companies.  DNA Global Industries designed innovative, tactical and operational solutions utilising Command and Control technologies for the implementation of collaborative execution across the entire supply chain.
